Hair Extensions

Hand-Tied Extensions

One of the biggest trends in beauty, if you're looking for an extension installation process that keeps hair healthy by preventing breakage while adding length and fullness (when properly applied, of course) hand-tied hair might be for you!

How it Works

Hand-tied extensions offer length and fullness while being virtually undetectable. In this method, a row is created using beads and thread, and wefts of hair are then attached to this track. The application can take between 1.5-2.5 hours depending on the number of rows. Each application is customized to your hair and desired outcome, which is determined in your consultation.

Hand-tied extensions FAQ

  • Maintenace appointments are recommended every 8-12 weeks. The extension hair itself is good for 8-12 months depending on at home care.

  • Properly installed extensions should not cause damage, so long as they are also maintained properly at home. Every new extension client gets a care card detailing proper at home care. Most clients find that they are able to grow their natural hair quite a bit while wearing hand-tied extensions!

  • You can absolutely wear your hair up without the wefts showing! It is recommended to wear either a high or low ponytail, avoiding a mid-height pony that would sit on top of the weft, claw clips work too!

  • For the most part, yes! Daily brushing is part of good extension aftercare, just be careful not to catch the top of the row on your brush. You can wash your hair like normal, once again being careful not to catch the top of the weft when you scrub. Most people find that they can wash their hair much less often with hand-tied extensions.

  • Hand-tied extensions do require an initial investment to purchase the hair. The cost of hair ranges from $500-$1,500 depending on the length and amount of hair needed. (the average order is around $800-$900)

Luma UV Light Extensions

V-light extensions are the newest breakthrough technology in the world of hair extensions, specifically designed to be lightweight and discreet. Once properly installed they are undetectable.

How it Works

This new method uses UV light to adhere individual strands of hair without the need for bonds, tapes, or wefts. Since UV extensions are virtually invisible, they are perfect for filling in low density areas around the hairline and top of the head. If you have fine hair in specific areas, but don’t want a whole head of hair extensions, the Luma UV light method might be for you!

Luma UV Light FAQ

  • The extensions can last anywhere from 4-8 weeks. Since the sections of hair are so natural and fine they shed when the natural hair sheds. This causes variation in the retention as everyone’s shed cycle varies.
